theNumen ("we," "us") operates the expert network for AI trainers at thenumen.ai. This section explains what information we collect, why, and what we do with it. We've tried to write it plainly.
We collect information you give us directly, primarily through our application and contact forms. This can include your name, email address, location, professional background, languages, areas of expertise, rate expectations, and anything else you choose to share in those forms.
We also receive limited technical information automatically when you visit the site, such as general analytics about pages visited. We do not use this to identify you personally.
We use the information you provide to review your application, match you with relevant opportunities, respond to your messages, and communicate with you about the network. We do not sell your personal information.
Our forms are processed through Formspree, a third-party form service, which delivers submissions to our email. Our email is hosted by Titan. By submitting a form, your information passes through these services, each of which maintains its own privacy practices. We keep application and contact information only as long as needed for the purposes above.
We may share relevant parts of your information with companies in our network when matching you to an opportunity, and only as needed for that purpose. We may also share information where required by law. We do not otherwise sell or rent your personal data.
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To do any of these, email hello@thenumen.ai. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.
theNumen is registered in the United States and operates as an international team. If you apply from outside the U.S., your information may be processed in the U.S. or other countries where we or our service providers operate.
We may update this policy as the network grows. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date above.
These terms govern your use of thenumen.ai (the "site") and the application process for theNumen, the expert network for AI trainers. By using the site or applying, you agree to these terms.
theNumen connects independent AI trainers with companies that need their judgment. We are a network and an intermediary. We are not your employer, and applying does not create an employment relationship. Work obtained through the network is independent, project-based, and not guaranteed.
When you apply, you agree to provide accurate, truthful information about yourself and your experience. We review applications at our discretion and are not obligated to accept any application or to provide a specific amount of work, income, or any work at all.
Where theNumen sources a placement for you, we take a percentage of the earnings from that placement, as described on our rates and FAQ pages. The specific terms applicable to any placement will be made clear to you before you accept it.
You agree to use the site lawfully, to not misrepresent yourself, and to not attempt to disrupt or misuse the site or its forms. Any work you perform through the network is subject to the guidelines and quality standards of the relevant project.
The content on this site — including the guides, blog, branding, and design — belongs to theNumen unless otherwise noted. You may read and share it, but please don't reproduce it wholesale or pass it off as your own.
The site and the information on it are provided "as is." We work to keep everything accurate and current, but we don't guarantee that pay figures, timelines, or descriptions of third-party platforms are complete or error-free. Information about the wider industry is offered to help you make your own informed decisions.
To the extent permitted by law, theNumen is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site or your participation in the network.
